The remedy OKOUBASAN ^® is made from the bark of Okoubaka aubrevillei, a West African jungle tree.

Experience has shown that OKOUBASAN ^® is used for acute diarrhea, food poisoning, digestive disorders, food intolerances and infections of the gastrointestinal tract. It is also possible to take it prophylactically during climatic and dietary changes, e.g. during long-distance travel. For the prevention of diarrheal diseases, the use of OKOUBASAN ^® has also proven effective in cases of food intolerances.

Within the elements of SANUM therapy it belongs to the medicines of SYSTEM-REGULATION.

Food intolerances:
In the case of food intolerance, the intestines are unable to properly break down individual components of food. Small amounts of these food components (such as fructose) are often no problem for the body. Many people therefore sometimes do not even know that they suffer from a food intolerance to certain foods. However, when these foods are then eaten in larger quantities, physical symptoms such as abdominal pain, digestive problems such as diarrhea, constipation or flatulence, and headaches often occur.

Indication

The indications for OKOUBASAN ^® D2 Tablets correspond to the homeopathic drug picture. These include food intolerances.
In case of persistent, unclear or newly occurring complaints as well as diarrhea lasting longer than 2 days or accompanied by blood admixture or temperature increases, a doctor should be consulted.

The following dosage forms are available: 10 ml, 30 ml dropper bottle 2X, 80 tablets 2X.

Dosage

Unless otherwise prescribed: For oral intake: in case of acute conditions 1 tablet every half to full hour up to a maximum of 12 times daily. In case of chronic conditions 2 tablets daily.

Composition: 1 tablet contains: Medically active substance: 250 mg Okoubaka aubrevillei 2X trit. Other constituents: lactose, potato starch, magnesium stearate.

Indication: Acute diarrhea, especially after food poisoning, infections of the gastrointestinal tract, food intolerances, prophylactically in cases of change of nutrition and climate; during a regulation therapy for elimination of metabolic waste products.

Side effects: Because of the specific organic components of OKOUBASAN®, theoretically, hypersensitivity may occur. In this case, discontinue use and treat symptomatically.
